The latest posts I wrote were about trips and it’s clear that Lake Tahoe is in my bucket list constantly. That place is just incredible full of nature and it is so beautiful to visit at any time of the year.
I have been meaning to visit Lake Tahoe on Spring for a long time and the day has finally arrived.
Because of that, Dan and I decided to spend 2 nights in Lake Tahoe this Spring. We took Luna and carried on a little family road trip.
The last time we were in Tahoe was last winter and we literary just spent some hours there. But this time we had the intention to stay longer. We rent a room through Airbnb for 2 nights in the north part of the lake. The house is actually located in the Nevada side at Incline Village, and has a nice sense of small town. There are restaurants and stores close by and a trail behind the house. We were set on renting a dog friendly place, the owners were really nice to us and Luna, she loved it!
Our full day was on Friday. We really wanted to take Luna to run by some beach, however we didn’t find that many options around. Of the ones we found, the space was tiny and the dogs needed to be on leash.
But after exploring a little more we found Zephyr’s Cove, s small beach at a Resort.
We used an app called BringFido which is great to find dog friendly hotels and activities. The beach in Zephyr’s cove wasn’t long as we needed (Luna needs to run). But the view is incredible and she had a lot of fun chasing the ball to the water. Parking costs $8 and is inside the resort. They also offer boat trips leaving from there.
Of the places we ate. For breakfast we went to King’s Cafe at King’s Beach. We also had lunch at the beach and found this place called Toast Tahoe, they serve Japanese food and their sushirrito was delicious.
The temperatures in Lake Tahoe on Spring is just perfect, not so hot and not so cold. But attention for those who aren’t used to cold waters, the lake is pretty cold. It’s a great place to hike, they have some really nice trails. There are also many cassinos around if you are a gambling fan. Since Dan and I just wanted some relaxing days, the beach visit and a small walk on the trail behind the house was the most activity we did. In general we were able to relax just like planned.
