I’ve been living in Sacramento for 2 years already and I am very conscious that I barely know the area. But I am very excited for Spring and determined to explore more the city.

To start Dan and I went for dinner at the Delta King in Old Sacramento. For those of you who don’t know, the Delta is a paddle wheel steamboat christened 20 May 1927. The boat did trips between San Francisco and Sacramento. In 1978 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It sank in 1981 in the region of Richmond, California but was rescued and towed to the present place in Old Sacramento.

Today the Delta King is a hotel with 44 accommodations, restaurant and bar. They also offer space for events. There was a high school prom happening when we got there.

We decided to sit next to the bar upstairs. So we could stay close to the water and overlooking the Tower Bridge (our very own golden bridge).

The food was delicious, we simply loved the entree we ordered, the lamb sliders with divine sauce. Dinner was delicious, too. Dan ordered the special with fish and I ordered pasta with shrimp.

I cannot deny that the price is a bit salty (this is real review guys). But it was worth the experience. If you come to Sacramento, visit Old Town and stop by on the Delta King Riverboat, I recommend it!
