Sunday I received nice visits, first of the rain that fell in the morning in Sacramento. With this drought we face in California, a little rain is always welcome. I could wake up slowly, and enjoy cuddling under the blankets with my hubby. And as the rain wanted to keep me in that position throughout the morning, I had to resist.
Because I also received a visit from a friend who was passing through Sacramento that day. Leticia is a Brazilian who I met when I lived in Santa Rosa and she was going to spend the day in town, so we decided to meet for a brunch.
After spending a few days feeling blue because of the lack of companionship and friends around, receiving Leticia made me more excited. Relocating to a new city isn’t easy, especially when you are already living abroad and away from your family.
We follow my sister-in-law’s indication and checked out 33rd Street Bistro. The place was booming, but with reason, the atmosphere is warm and sophisticated. The wait was 45 minutes so we took the time to catch up walking around the neighborhood.
Brown boots, white sweater with jeans and a tribal style necklace were my choice for the brunch outfit. And to give a cheerful and relaxed feel, I used my green raincoat that I have it for awhile, but had not had the opportunity to wear before. I got this rain jacket at a thrift store in San Francisco, and it cost me only $ 10.
